Sushi is one of the most popular foods of the last few years, and became very popular in the Netherlands. The little snacks made with rice, fish and vegetables came originally from Japan. Sushi is one of the most popular foods of the last few years and became very popular in the Netherlands. The little snacks made with rice, fish and vegetables came originally from Japan. The sushi hype caused the opening of a lot of new restaurants. Every restaurant has there own concept and experience. My first time eating sushi was at a Chinese restaurant, but it wasn’t that successful. I didn’t like it all. Two years later someone told me that ‘wok restaurants’ hasn’t the best sushi. So I tried again and fell a little bit in love.

Eating Sushi is all about ordering in several rounds. Every round you can order at most five different snacks, like sushi. When you don’t eat all the snacks you ordered, you must pay extra. Japanese restaurants don’t like food wastage. The concept and experience of Chinese restaurants are really different and also popular by Dutch people. You can eat as much as you want, because you will always pay the same price. I like the Japanese restaurants the most. But not only restaurants sell sushi, also supermarkets do.

Why is it cool?

Sushi is a beautiful product, but also a costly one. Albert Heijn has been selling sushi for a few years now. I personally really like sushi, so I buy it quite often. Last week I went to the Albert Heijn in Tilburg. When I put down my bike, I saw a poster with the text ‘now available: fresh sushi at the Albert Heijn in Tilburg’. I had no idea what to expect. But when I walked through the Albert Heijn I immediately saw a ‘Sushi daily.’ I found the ‘Sushi Daily’ to be a hip and modern bar. .‘Sushi daily’ makes daily made fresh sushi and sells the dishes in an own display. A trendy form of promotion. You can watch, you’re sushi is prepared. That’s really attractive, because it springs to the eye that the products are handmade. This really adds tot the experience. So far perfect!
